How to Shop

100 Mile Finds is a venue for local producers of unique goods and services to showcase what they do.

To See Who's Close By:  Enter your postal code, and choose a search radius (which determines the geographic proximity of your search) to see where you can shop in your neighbourhood.  'The Sky's the Limit' choice will search a category beyond the 100 mile limit (If you wish to see all the 'jewellers' on the site).  Each vendor has their own page featuring photos of products they make and descriptions of what they do.

Narrowing Your Search:  Our Specific Item search works if the vendor has used that exact word (spelling counts) you are searching in their product name/descriptions. Choosing a category from the drop down lists located under the icons across the top (‘for him’, ‘for her’, etc.) may be best to give you a broad range of vendors and products that would be of interest. ‘The whole shebang’ allows you to search the entire site, grouping products and services by type. 
The List of Vendors tab (on the left side of the screen), provides an alphabetical listing of all vendors on the site.  Click on the vendor and you will go directl to their store. Vendors with direct e-commerce through 100 Mile Finds are indicated with a '$'.

Mapping:  The map feature (in the ‘Vendor Details’ section of each vendor’s pages) shows you where the vendor is located. If the vendor does not have a storefront, they will tell you how you can get in touch with them. Our ‘Shows and Sales’ tab features the details of upcoming shows our vendors may be participating in.

Buy Directly:  E-commerce is available through 100 Mile FInds directly, but is optional for the individual vendors.  To find vendors with e-commerce activated, click 'List of Vendors' in the left hand navigational column.  Vendors with e-commerce are indicated with a '$'. Once you arrive at a vendor's page with e-commerce, you will also see the 'Add to Cart' button below the product description.  You will be prompted to log in and register with the site to shop directly.  Once you have registered you can bookmark your favourite vendors.  If a vendor has not chosen to use e-commerce, you can contact them via email to make arrangements.  The vendor contact information is under the map.

Gift Vouchers:  The perfect gift for that hard to buy for person. 

Here's how it works:

For the list of vendors with e-commerce, click 'List of Vendors' on the left hand navigational bar (home page).  Vendors with a $ in front of their names have items for sale directly through 100 Mile Finds.  If you wish to purchase an item that does not have e-commerce directly through our site, we will endeavor to make that happen, however, cannot guarantee it.

100 Mile Finds will contact you via email to register the gift voucher. We will send you the gift voucher number, confirm the amount, and require the email address that the recipient will be using when they contact us to purchase. E-commerce purchases must be initiated through the address registered with us.

The gift voucher is only transferable with confirmation from the purchaser/recipient that the email address to be used for purchase has changed.  This contact must be made from the purchaser's registered email address.

The recipient redeems the voucher through info@100MileFinds.com.  They simply contact us with the item they wish to purchase and we will make arrangements with the vendor.  Be sure to check that the shipping amount is included in your total.  If you wish to make arrangements to pick up your purchase, just let us know and we will ensure that the proper amount is charged. If your purchase is more than the value of your voucher, we will set up a second, custom amount for the balance that the recipient can purchase through the 100 mile finds store.

For the remaining balance (after a purchase) you will receive an email from 100 Mile Finds with the amount for future use.
