How to Shop

100 Mile Finds is a venue for local producers of unique goods and services to showcase what they do.

To See Who's Close By:  Enter your postal code, and choose a search radius (which determines the geographic proximity of your search) to see where you can shop in your neighbourhood.  'The Sky's the Limit' choice will search a category beyond the 100 mile limit (If you wish to see all the 'jewellers' on the site).  Each vendor has their own page featuring photos of products they make and descriptions of what they do.

Narrowing Your Search:  We're having a bit of trouble with our Specific Item search so choose a category from the drop down lists located under the icons across the top (‘for him’, ‘for her’, etc.) ‘The whole shebang’ allows you to search the entire site, grouping products and services by type. 
If you know the name of the business you are looking for, you can enter it in the ‘Store Name’ box, located under the drop down lists. The List of Vendors tab (on the left side of the screen), provides an alphabetical listing of all vendors on the site.

Mapping:  The map feature (in the ‘Vendor Details’ section of each vendor’s pages) shows you where the vendor is located. If the vendor does not have a storefront, they will tell you how you can get in touch with them. Our ‘Shows and Sales’ tab features the details of upcoming shows our vendors may be participating in.

Buy Directly:  E-commerce is available through 100 Mile FInds directly, but is optional for the individual vendors.  If you are able to buy an item and have it shipped, you will see the 'Add to Cart' button below the product description.  You will be prompted to log in and register with the site to shop directly.  Once you have registered you can bookmark your favourite vendors.  If a vendor has not chosen to use e-commerce, you can contact them via email to make arrangements.  The vendor contact information is under the map.
